Africa to the United States

Learn, connect, and grow through a U.S. exchange experience.

PASI welcomes interest from African students and schools seeking opportunities to visit the United States, experience American education, build lasting relationships, and learn in a new cultural environment.

Opportunities depend on host-school availability, program eligibility, travel documentation, funding, and U.S. visa approval.

How it works

Your journey starts with a conversation.

01

Express interest

A student, parent, guardian, or school representative contacts PASI and shares their goals.

02

Eligibility review

PASI reviews age, school status, academic readiness, timing, support needs, and available opportunities.

03

Program matching

When a suitable opportunity exists, PASI discusses the host school, schedule, costs, housing, and expectations.

04

Prepare to travel

Selected participants complete required permissions, documents, funding, orientation, and visa steps before departure.

Before you apply

Be ready to share your goals and prepare carefully.

PASI will need basic information about the student or school, educational goals, preferred dates, and the support available for travel. A parent or legal guardian must participate for applicants under 18.

Submitting an inquiry is the first step and does not guarantee placement, admission, funding, a host family, or a visa. PASI will explain the next steps if an appropriate opportunity is available.
